Happy Friday everyone!
Did you all see that I posted a Chobani Greek Yogurt Giveaway on Wednesday. You should definitely enter! Because I love you, I love Chobani, and we could both love Chobani, then we could be bff's. Yes. Enter. Who doesn't love free yogurt? Plus, it's Greek, and Greek is Mediterranean, Italian's are Mediterranean, I am Italian-American, Mediterranean's are pretty hot! So you see, everything works out. It's a win, win situation!
So, my old boss finally emailed the pic's of our work Christmas Party, it was "Red Carpet" themed, and you know I work it on the Red Carpet. I was made for it.
I cropped my co-worker out of the pics, just in case she wanted to remain anonymous. Who wants their face plastered all over my blog? The family doesn't have a choice!
Yes, I am fully aware of my ridiculousness.
What can I say? I was showing off my rock from you know who, duh.
Then I decided to play detective. I totally wanted to heist that hat!
I have made this banana cake 503794875 times this week. My clothes are starting to smell like bananas. If I am not careful I will most likely turn into one. I guess that those are the perks of your dad having co-workers who are crazy about your banana cake. That will be $50 please, k, thanks!
Want to know a secret? I absolutely detest, loathe, cannot stand bananas! Unless they are baked into this, or covered in this, or thrown into this. Okay, okay. Maybe I don't hate bananas that much. Just no PLAIN bananas for me. No bueno.
My home girl Aubrey has really, really, really got me craving some French macarons.
I want.
I am seriously about to break down and make some, right now. The first time I tried to make macarons, it was an EPIC. FAIL. Then I blamed it on the humidity round' these here parts. That made me feel better.
Meet Exhibit A of my dinner woes.
The Princess atop her throne.
Don't let her name fool you, she is far from a Princess. Anyway, what I mean by dinner woes is that she whines, I feed her. Next thing you know, half of my chicken is gone!
It's a love/hate relationship.
Now that Valentine's Day is over, I am preparing for the next holiday.
FAT TUESDAY!!!
I normally associate Fat Tuesday with this:

What did you expect?
Lent is creeping up on me fast. That means I need to decide what I will give up for the Lenten season. Normally, I don't really give up anything and if you think I am going to fast, well, you better think again. With a food blog? Seriously? Instead, I usually do something, like give to charity, or do something nice each day for a different person. It really helps me focus on myself and my kindness towards others. Back to the giving up something, once my dad and I gave up meat for Lent. Let's just say I felt like this...

This coming from the girl that drove 50 miles with her daddy to the nearest Sonic just to get her a taste of a real burger. Living in California was rough. You would really have to understand the quality of our burgers round' these here parts. These places mean nothing to me.
Speaking of meat...because I am a craigslist junkie, I search editorial positions in my fave cities. Let's just say that I applied for a paid editorial internship in San Fran with a food magazine. Hint: They are not about meat. Ironically, I read their magazine religiously and love their recipes. Did I mention that I am also a lover of veggies? Yes, while I do love my chicken, nothing comes between me and my greens! Nothing. Okay maybe this. Let's just pray that I get this opportunity. It would be a DREAM!
Speaking of dreams. I have been dreaming of all things toasted coconut. I had some leftover from my Kale Salad and I put it on just about everything. I mean, why not try some tofu sprinkled with a little toasted coconut? What the? Hey, it works for me. Next up, peanut butter + toasted coconut. You'd think I was obsessed? Watch out world!
I am head over heels in love with this:
A brand of wine named after one of my favorite things! Would you expect any less?
Thank goodness it's Friday. I get to see my drinking buddy and bestie tonight!
Shenanigans will ensue.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE WEEKEND?
