So, some new discoveries this week with myself.
I'm pretty freaking creative.
I have some new things that are happening with the blog and I can't wait to share them with all of you!
Another discovery...
One of my dad's friends at work (I think its his boss or something) loves to barbecue, and by barbecue...I mean, smoke meats, specifically ribs and brisket.
Lucky for me, he sends my dad home with a ton of smoked brisket...
Le Meat.
All I had to do was heat it up in the oven and BAM...
Instant brisket.
That's pretty dang fool-proof if you ask me.
Anyways, you can imagine that the apartment smelled as though I were running a full-service barbecue joint out of it.
You know I love me some barbecue.
I am pretty upset that I have to miss the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo this year.
It has nothing to do with the live entertainment, carnival rides, or the fabulous shopping.
I go for one thing, and one thing only.
Now, there is quite a skill to eating a turkey leg while walking around the rodeo, especially in your best boots, blue-jean mini skirt, and white button down top.
Anything white on me is just a hazard waiting to happen...ironically, I love white shirts, white dresses, white shorts in the summer, etc. etc.
Like I said, disaster.
Here is a fact: I was a volunteer at the rode for two years.
Yes, people, I have been paid squat to man the pig races.
Those little potbellies are just so darn cute.
I have watched muttin' bustin
those poor sheep.
I have also tried to rope me in a cowboy once...or twice.
O yes.
Besides the food, livestock...and by livestock I mean see the above picture...I love me some rodeo fashion.
Now I'm not talking about wearing jeans with 18734857 holes in them, scuffed boots, with a piece of straw hanging out of my mouth. No, that is more like hillbilly rodeo. I am talking about high style rodeo fashion.
Obviously...a little far-fetched.
That's more like it.
I mean what did you expect?
I have to look fashionable while eating my turkey leg.
In other news...my hips are absolutely killing me from this
Of course, I had the bright idea to try something new and because our gym has a ton of workout dvd's and I "think" I can dance, I chose that one.
Ouch.
Nothing that some of these babies
or helloooo beautiful...
won't fix!
Anyway, I think I am done for the day...but wait!
Don't forget to enter my HOUSE OF BALSAMIC giveaway! It's good stuff people...trust me!
Also, HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO A RODEO? WHAT DID YOU DO, SEE, EAT, WEAR? WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE BARBECUE?
Happy Friday!
